To ensure that GreySave greyhounds are matched with the best possible homes, and that our adopters find the right dog for them, we have a few important recommendations, requirements and restrictions.
- All adopters must be 21 years old or older and financially capable of providing for their greyhound.
- All members of a household must agree on the decision to adopt a greyhound.
- GreySave will not adopt to first-time greyhound adopters with children 6 or younger. The only exception could be for families with a child at least 5 and who has grown up with a medium to large dog plus the child must be dog savvy and display appropriate behavior towards dogs. This potential placement recommendation would have to be presented by the Adoption Representative to the Board for approval.
- GreySave will place a greyhound in a home only after applicants complete the entire adoption process.
