OUR STATUS

GreySave Greyhound Adoptions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit California organization (# 20-5442395). It follows all mandated reporting requirements. GreySave's efforts are supported partly by its adoption fees and discounted services offered by veterinarians. But it would not be able to successfully pursue its goals without donations from individuals.

GreySave is an NGA Endorsed Responsible Greyhound Group - this is a list of adoption groups endorsed by the National Greyhound Association as partners in responsible adoption. OUR PEOPLE

GreySave is staffed entirely by volunteers. It has no paid positions. Most of them have worked in greyhound adoption for many years. They give of their time and money out of love for the dogs and commitment to the goal of saving greyhounds.

The leadership of GreySave recognizes that its volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. From event set up and tear down to food booths, Meet & Greets, foster home volunteering, spreading the word about greyhound adoption, and giving love to adopted greyhounds, the volunteers make it possible. We seek to empower our family of volunteers through a spirit of cooperation and trust in their abilities. As the group grows, we actively seek to add new volunteers with whom organizational responsibilities can be shared.
