SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026, in FOLSOM at 2:30 PM - MARDI PAWS SIGHTHOUND PARADE - 905 Leidesdorf St., Folsom, CA. "It's that wonderful time of year again!! It's time for Mardi Paws!! It's time for pazcki's and punch and puppy king cakes!! This year we will be returning to Historic Folsom where our sighthounds can strut their stuff along Sutter Street in their most colorful carnivale costumes before heading down to the Lake Natoma Waterfront trail for a complete loop. Meet in view of the Railroad Turn Table in the main square for our traditional pre-walk refreshments and grab some beads for your hound to wear and give away to the people who stare at us. SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2026, in ELK GROVE at 10:00 AM - SIGHTHOUND SHAMROCK WALK -
Horshoe Park, 9800 Denali Circle, Elk Grove, CA. "Grab some green gear and join the Sacramento Sighthound Social Club for the 2026 Shamrock Walk at Horseshoe Park in Elk Grove located at 9800 Denali Circle. We will assemble by the lucky horseshoe sign at the juncture of Denali Circle and Cellana Drive. From there we will walk to Constellation Park and continue along the greenbelt to Rose Garden Park and Promenade Park for a total distance of approximately 2 miles if you complete the entire loop." SUNDAY, APRIL 5, 2026, in SACRAMENTO at 10:00 AM - SIGHTHOUND EASTER EGG HUNT AND PAWRADE - Willow Park, 2451 Rose Arbor Dr., Sacramento, CA. "Join the fun at Willow Park located at 2451 Rose Arbor Drive in the North Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento at 10 AM for a sighthound Easter egg hunt. Each sighthound and sighthound sibling will receive a basket to collect hidden eggs filled with scrumptious dog treats. Find the golden egg and win a prize basket!! Following the Easter egg hunt, there will be a walk along a pond and flyway where many species of migratory birds can be spotted, and then returning to the park along a residential street." SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2026, in RENO, NEVADA, at 11:00 AM - SIGHTHOUND ROUNDUP IN RENO - 727 Riverside Dr., Reno, NV. "The Sacramento Sighthound Social Club returns for it's second Reno Roundup on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Meet at the Reno Mountain Creamery Riverside for some ice cream before our stroll along the river." Hosted by the Sacramento Sighthound Social Club.
SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026, in SACRAMENTO, AT 10:00 AM - 33RD ANNUAL DOGGY DASH - William Land Park, Sacramento, CA. Join the Sacramento Sighthound Social Club's team as they walk to help raise funds for the Sacramento SPCA. "Your registration and participation in the Doggy Dash help the Sacramento SPCA positively impact more than 40,000 animals in our community each year. Funds raised at this event provide medical care to sick or injured animals, low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter services for the community, behavior training, and humane education." EVERY TUESDAY [weather permitting] in VENTURA, 6:00 PM - Ventura Community Park, 901 S. Kimball Rd., Ventura, CA. “Join other Greyhounds in the area for an evening stroll. We meet in the parking lot just north of the entry road. The FIRST FRIDAYS OF THE MONTH, the PASADENA Walk will be held in ARCADIA instead. The other Fridays of the month will continue to be held in Victory Park in Pasadena. Normally EVERY SATURDAY in SAN DIEGO - BALBOA PARK, 10:00 AM - Balboa Park, 2131 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA. "Balboa Park Walk: Walkers meet every Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 10:15 am in Balboa Park on the grassy area between the stop sign at the end of President's Way and the Comic-Con museum. They socialize there for a few minutes so you don't need to rush if you're running a little late. The meet up occurs every weekend, rain or shine, but you might want to check the weather and scheduled events in the park relative to your own comfort and preferences before attending. The walk includes three rest stops and typically lasts just over an hour. Those who don't want to walk as far sometimes turn back early or meet up at one of the rest stops. All dogs must be on leashes and a human must be holding on to the leash at all times. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Please remember that you are always responsible for your own safety and the safety of your dogs." Normally EVERY SUNDAY in SAN DIEGO - LIBERTY STATION, 11:00 AM - Liberty Station, 2455 Cushing Rd., San Diego, CA. "Liberty Station Walk: Walkers meet every Sunday morning at 11:00 am in Liberty Station on the grassy area near the end of Roosevelt Road. The meet up occurs every weekend, rain or shine, but you might want to check the weather and scheduled events in the park relative to your own comfort and preferences before attending. It's an easy walk through the park and along the water with early turn back options for those wanting a shorter walk. Typically, this walk is a bit smaller with more open space than the Balboa Park walk. It might be better suited for dogs new to group walks. All dogs must be on leashes and a human must be holding on to the leash at all times. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Please remember that you are always responsible for your own safety and the safety of your dogs. Walk at your own risk."
