WAYS TO SUPPORT US
GreySave is a completely volunteer-staffed Southern California based 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Charity. All donations made to GreySave are tax deductible. GreySave is supported primarily through fundraising events and donations/gifts from individuals, organizations and businesses. Our adoption fee does not totally cover the costs associated with getting and preparing a healthy greyhound for adoption. It costs on average $600 to $800 for these dogs. But for the 25% to 35% of the new dogs that come injured or sick GreySave will spend thousands of dollars to get them the special medical attention they need.
In addition to a financial donation, there are many ways you can contribute to help the mission of Greyhound adoption. Ways to support GreySave are outlined on this page below.

Note on types of donations - We have 3 types of financial donations. They are Direct donations that goes to the mission of GreySave, there are Benefactor's donations that go to the medical care of the medical needs hounds we take in and there is a special category that is named Celebrate a life. Additionally a donor can either send a one time donation or set up a recurring donation via credit card, PayPal or by mailing checks. Any recurring donations are accounted for as Benefactor's donation and will be acknowledged annually after the end of the calendar year.

Raffles and auctions at our annual Race to the Park are a big part of supporting GreySave. When items are donated, more of the funds raised go directly toward helping retired greyhounds find loving homes.
BE A BENEFACTOR - Help an injured or ill Greyhound
All donations to the Benefactor Fund go directly toward the care of retired greyhounds with serious injuries or medical conditions. This fund helps cover extraordinary veterinary expenses beyond the normal medical care some greyhounds require when they come to us.

Several companies support nonprofits through donation programs tied to everyday purchases. GreySave receives contributions from programs like Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and PayPal Giving. In 2022 alone, these programs generated over $1,000 for GreySave — simply from supporters shopping as they normally would. It’s an easy way to help at no extra cost!
CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF A SPECIAL PET OR PERSON
Make a contribution in honor of a special pet or person to celebrate a birthday, holiday, wedding, or to remember a beloved life. GreySave will send a personalized letter or card on your behalf, and you’ll receive a thank-you acknowledgement for your tax-deductible donation.
