Old Fashioned Spaghetti Social 2008

Join us on Saturday, October 25 for a fun afternoon socializing with friends and hounds over a big plate of delightful pasta dishes, salads, desserts, and much, much, more! It's definitely a "bring your dog" event, so remember your X-pens and blankets!  (If you have a shade structure, you might want to bring that, too.)

Take part in the Silent Auction. And with over 50 raffle baskets available in our raffle, you'll have a lot of chances to win! We'll once again have some amazing items in the Live Auction. Buy some nice Christmas presents for your greyhounds, your greyhound friends, or for yourself at the GreySave Store or from one of our guest vendors.

Enjoy other fun activities throughout the afternoon, including visiting with your greyhound friends!

Cost:
• $12 per adult pre-paid; $15 per adult at the door.
• $6 per child under 12 pre-paid; $8 for children under 12 at the door.

Location: Hillcrest Park, 1155 North Lemon Street, Fullerton. See below for a map of the park and directions to parking lots.

Directions to Our Picnic Area at Hillcrest Park

Click on the image at left to get a full-size map of Hillcrest Park. This is a large park, so you need to print out this map and follow the directions to parking and to our picnic area. It's a lovely park, and we know you'll agree that it was worth the effort once you get there!

As indicated on the map, the parking lot marked "1" is the closest and most easily accessible lot to our picnic area, followed by the smaller lot 2. Use 1 or 2 if your mobility is limited. Go to lot 2 to drop off equipment (there's a ramp down to the picnic area from it). If you can take going up and down three flights of steps, try to use lot 4 so others can park closer. NOTE: you may park in any of the other lots at the park, as indicated on the map, but they're are further away than lots 1-4.

WHAT WILL I DO?

The GreySave Spagetti Social always has lots to do, and this year is no exception:

• Participate in games and contests with your Greyhound
• Check out the vendors selling great merchandise for you and your Greyhound
• Bid on hand-picked Greyhound items in the silent and live auctions
• Have your Grey's toenails clipped ($10)
• Get your greyhound microchipped ($20 w/GreySave tag or $25)
• Win raffle and door prizes
• Enjoy one of the best lunches around

• Training: This year you and your Greyhound can also stop by one or more fun and informative training demonstrations. Each of the sessions below will give you hands-on, one-on-one training with your hound by experienced volunteers. And they're all free!

• How to Brush Your Greyhound's teeth
• Teach Your Greyhound to sit

• Photographer Cynthia Frederick will once again take portraits of your hounds, just in time for Christmas. Cynthia is donating all her proceeds to GreySave.

• Animal Communicator Bernadette Hileman will offer animal readings (a 10-minute reading for $20 or a 15-minute reading for $30). A portion of the money will be donated to GreySave.
