GAMES FOR GREYHOUNDS Our ever-popular games that you can play with your grey will be back this year. Games may include Bobbing for Hot Dogs, Musical Greyhounds, and Lick Off the Whipped Cream. Join in the fun or just watch the athletes and their owners lose all dignity !
LITTERMATE LOLLAPALOOZA! At 1:30 pm we'll host a Littermate Meet-Up. GreySave has placed a number of littermates in various homes. Sometimes they arrive at the same time, sometimes they come in months apart. Either way we keep track of who's related to whom. We'll post a sign by the Registration table at the picnic listing the GreySave littermates. Check it out, and find out at 1:30 if your hound's long lost littermate comes, too! See p. 3 of the Winter 2009-2010 GreySave Scoop newsletter for a list of littermates.
HEALTH CLINIC: NAILS, CHIPS, AND SHOTS, OH MY! At the picnic you can get your greyhound's toenails trimmed for $10 per dog. You can have a microchip implanted to protect him if he ever gets loose for $20 (if he already has a GreySave tag). Also a local veterinarian will offer a vaccination clinic from 1-3pm right at the picnic. The vaccination clinic features the following shots administered by a veterinarian: DHPPC $18, Bordetella $13, Rabies $8. You can even get your dog a rattlesnake vaccination for $23. A required biohazard fee of $2 can cover the vaccinations for up to three of your dogs. The vet is donating all proceeds, after expenses to GreySave.
FOSTER GREYHOUNDS Yellow signs with foster dogs' names on them will point out the locations of adoptable dogs and their foster families. The Parade of Fosters, led by Gracie the GreySave Greyhound (below, right) is around 11 am. Throughout the day, pre-approved adopters and others can see profiles of the foster dogs and work with adoption reps to help determine the best potential matches.
AUCTIONS AND RAFFLES You'll have lots of chances to win prizes and snag great, one-of-a-kind items in our auctions. Remember that this picnic is our biggest fund-raiser event of the year! Many of the items are greyhound-related, but they'll be something to interest just about anyone. Most of them have been donated to GreySave by generous companies and individuals to help us raise funds to save greys.

In order to be sure we have the right amount of food, we need you to make a reservation. You can place your reservation either online or by mail (no phone reservations--we need payment to accept an advance reservation). On the day of the picnic, come to the registration table (below left) to check in and receive your name tag (which is also your meal ticket) and other items. You can also buy raffle tickets then.
