Some of you are aware, that again this year, there are rumors that the Tucson track is closing permanently. There is a bill going through the AZ state legislature concerning its really and most probably closing this time but on what the date is apparently is not yet decided. Seems like it could be anytime from mid-June (after 100 days of racing) to the end of December. We have been asked if we could take some greys from Tucson even though we now primarily take our dogs from the Caliente track. But greys in need are greys in need!
At this point there are close to 500 greyhounds at the Tucson track so GreySave has decided to help some of the greys no longer running to get off the track sooner as opposed to waiting to the final push. So if you are someone who wants to really help the hounds of Tucson then please consider fostering one so we can keep the Caliente hounds covered. If you can help please let Sandy know. We are expecting 8 from Tucson and points east to be part of our next Homecoming probably in a few weeks.
