On September 5th the day started real early for the GreySave hauler team, Jay & Teri. They arrived at the Caliente Dog Track around 5am and started the exodus of the 50 greyhounds waiting to come to California and start their new lives as pets.
Jay & Teri filled their GreySave hauler its maximum, 14 dogs. Nine of the new kids would start their new life with GreySave and the other 5 would travel north to Homestretch and Greyhound Friends for Life. Right behind the GreySave hauler the Greyhound Adoption Center van arrived and they took 12 more. Then after that the Fast Friends big hauler came in and took home the remaining 24.
The Sept 5th haul was the largest group of greys waiting for their homecoming in many years. But now they are back and the USA, settling in and getting ready to be cherished pets thanks to the cooperation of 5 adoption groups. This was a greyt day for the hounds!
