2015 is officially behind us and we are hoping that 2016 brings us very happy and healthy hounds and even more wonderful Forever homes.
Current Status - Most of our 2015 hounds are in their Forever Homes or in foster homes ready to be adopted. The 1st group of 2016 hounds will join GreySave tomorrow.
The year-end accounting is getting close to finalized and thanks to so many of you that responded positively to our mid-December request for donations. Because of you GreySave came in very close to a positive (in the black) balance. Thank you all so much for your very generous year end support. Stephanie is still working away on all the official thank you letters but in the meantime thank you from the Board and the hounds we serve.
In quick review -- in 2015 we brought in 100 new hounds, 25% were medical hounds and we adopted 109 hounds to loving homes! Several more have their adoption pending so we have very few new hounds waiting to begin 2016. We spent $159K for greyhound medical costs for all dogs in 2015 with a large portion going for the care of the 25% broken or sick hounds. All in all it was a very good year for the Greyhounds who came home to GreySave.
